2. HOW WE OBTAIN YOUR CONSENT
By using the Finderrz application, the user acknowledges and gives their express and informed consent for the processing and use of their data in the manner described in this privacy policy. Consent is understood to be given when carrying out, including but not limited to, the following activities:
Downloading and installing the Finderrz application on your device.
Creating and configuring a profile within the application, including voluntarily uploading information such as name, image, biography, and links to social networks.
Actively and voluntarily sharing your location through the verification pop-up window enabled in the application.
Sharing your profile with other nearby users through the offline connection technology integrated into the application.
Using the application's features.
Making a subscription purchase through Google Play, which involves the transmission of billing information through that third-party provider.
Communicating with Finderrz through the enabled contact channels.
The consent given by the user constitutes the main legal basis for the processing of data to the extent necessary, in accordance with the main international data protection regulations, including European Union regulations (such as the General Data Protection Regulation - GDPR) and other equivalent legislation on privacy and data protection. Such consent is considered free, specific, informed, and unambiguous, as it is granted through a clear affirmative action by the user when performing any of the above activities.
The user understands that they may revoke their consent at any time, without retroactive effect, through their device settings or by ceasing to use the application. Revocation of consent may limit or prevent access to certain features of the application.
3. TYPES OF DATA COLLECTED
The use of the Finderrz application implies that the user provides and shares certain data, either voluntarily when setting up their profile or automatically as a result of the operation of the application and the third-party services it integrates. The types of data that may be collected include, but are not limited to, the following:
3.1. Profile data. When the user creates and configures a profile within the application, they may provide information such as their name, profile picture, biography, and links to social media. This data is only shared with other users to whom the user decides to show their profile.
3.2. Data collected automatically by the application. During normal use of the application, certain technical data is collected automatically through the technology implemented on the device, such as temporary connection identifiers, device information (model, operating system, version of the application installed), and data related to connectivity between users.
3.3. Location data. If the user decides to enable the location sharing feature via the pop-up verification window, information about their geographic location will be collected for the sole purpose of allowing interaction with other nearby users. Activation of this feature is completely voluntary.
3.4. Payment data. When purchasing a subscription through Google Play, payment data such as billing information, payment methods, and transactions are processed. This data is managed directly by Google as a third-party payment service provider, and Finderrz does not store or retain any financial information about the user.
3.5. Data collected by third-party applications. The application uses third-party services such as Google's Nearby Connections API and OpenStreetMap (OSM). These third parties may collect limited data for operational and technical purposes, such as IP addresses, request timestamps, technical identifiers, and tile access URLs.
3.6. Analytical and tracking data. By default, or when permitted by the user in their device settings, Google may collect anonymous usage data for the purposes of analyzing and improving the performance of the application. The user has the option to disable this type of collection in their device settings.
3.7. Contact data. When the user communicates with Finderrz through the enabled contact channels, they may provide data such as their name, email address, phone number, or other information necessary to respond to their query or request.
4. DATA STORAGE
Finderrz does not collect or store users' personal data on its own servers, as the application is designed to operate primarily through direct connections between devices. It is based on Google's Nearby Connections API technology, which may anonymously collect certain usage data for statistical and diagnostic purposes, which users can disable in their device settings. The application also uses OpenStreetMap (OSM) services for map visualization and location-related features, and OSM may record limited technical data such as IP addresses, request timestamps, and URLs of tiles consulted. This collection is for the sole purpose of maintaining its servers, improving their performance, and preventing abusive use.
Finderrz does not request or retain identifiable user information such as names, email addresses, or personal credentials. Only if a user decides to communicate through the enabled contact channels will the contact details provided be stored on the servers of the corresponding email service provider, for the sole purpose of managing and responding to the communications received. In this way, data storage is strictly limited to the technical and operational information necessary to ensure the secure and efficient operation of the application, without this implying the creation of centralized databases or the use of data for purposes other than those described herein.
5. STORAGE DURATION
The information processed through the Finderrz application is retained only for the time strictly necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, according to the nature of each type of data and the associated functionalities. Profile data shared between users remains available only as long as the user decides to keep their profile active and share it through the application, and can be deleted or modified at any time from the application settings. Data collected automatically by the application and location data enabled by the user are processed temporarily and are only kept for the duration of the session or the specific use of the functionality, without this implying permanent storage on Finderrz's own servers.
Payment data is managed directly by Google Play and is stored exclusively to the extent necessary for the management of transactions and the fulfillment of obligations arising from the subscriptions contracted. Similarly, data collected by third-party services such as OpenStreetMap (OSM) or Google's Nearby Connections API is retained by those providers only for as long as is necessary for operational purposes, such as infrastructure maintenance, service security, and abuse prevention.
Contact details provided by users when communicating with Finderrz are retained for as long as necessary to manage and respond to the query, complaint, or communication made, and may be retained for a reasonable additional period in order to deal with any follow-up or resolve related incidents, being deleted once this period has elapsed or when the user requests their deletion.
6. PURPOSES OF DATA COLLECTION
The collection of data in the Finderrz application is exclusively for purposes related to the proper functioning of the application, the provision of its functionalities, and the continuous improvement of the user experience. The legitimate purposes of each type of information include, but are not limited to, the following:
6.1. Profile data. This data is collected to allow users to create, manage, and share their profiles with other users nearby, facilitating social interaction and the exchange of information that users themselves choose to display.
6.2. Data collected automatically by the application. This data is used to ensure the technical functioning of the application, maintain compatibility with different devices and operating systems, facilitate connectivity between users, and prevent misuse or unauthorized use.
6.3. Location data. When the user enables this feature, location information is used solely to identify other nearby users and enable real-time interaction within the user's geographic area.
6.4. Payment data. This data is processed by Google Play for the purpose of managing subscription transactions, verifying payments, and ensuring the proper provision of subscription services contracted by the user.
6.5. Data collected by third-party applications. Google's Nearby Connections API and OpenStreetMap services use limited technical data for operational purposes, such as enabling connection between nearby devices, ensuring the integrity of communications, maintaining the security of their servers, and preventing abuse or misuse.
6.6. Analytical and tracking data. This data is collected to understand, in an aggregated and anonymous manner, how users interact with the application, with the aim of optimizing its performance, improving the user experience, and developing new features more efficiently.
6.7. Contact data. This is collected only when the user communicates with Finderrz, and its purpose is to respond to queries, manage technical support requests, handle complaints, and maintain an effective channel of communication with users.

However, it is important to note that no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is foolproof and 100% secure. Therefore, while we at Finderrz strive to implement commercially viable data protection methods, we cannot ensure absolute security of your personal information. We undertake not to sell, distribute or transfer your personal data to unauthorized third parties, unless we have your explicit consent or are required by law to do so.
